The Silent and Live Auctions are highlights of the banquet. Organizers are looking for unusually interesting and attractive items reflecting the individuals, the spirit, the history of Cougar Crew. The “Icebreaker” is the kickoff social event of the weekend. Food, beverage and catching up. Meet the coaches and athletes. The highlight of this year’s Icebreaker? Official dedication of the just-completed installation of 1980s Men’s Light Eight David M Emigh in the Student Recreation Center.

This year’s reunion is a celebration of coaches past, present and future—a roster now 60 and counting. The keynote by historian Peter Mallory will take us through three centuries of rowing for hire on the Thames and follow the bright line from London to Seattle and the birth of modern competitive rowing.
