  • Peter Brevick - Head Coach

    Peter Brevick is in his eighth year as the head coach of the Washington State University Crew. In his two years at the helm, the team has steadily improved and continues to build toward championship contention.

    Brevick comes to Pullman from Oklahoma City, OK, where he has spent 5 years working with the Oklahoma City Boathouse Foundation (OKCBF) and the OKC Riversport Junior Rowing program.

    Peter joined the OKCBF in the summer of 2012 as Boatman for all programs, and soon took on additional roles working with national rowing adaptive camps and the junior rowing program. In 2014 he added work with the OKC National High Performance Center, which led to coaching the USA Lightweight Men’s Pair at the 2014 World Championships in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Upon returning to Oklahoma City, Brevick began coaching the OKC Riversport Novice Boys program. Highlights from the 2014-15 season included the first ever Boys points trophy for OKC at the SWEAT erg regatta, as well as wins in three of the four novice events at the US Rowing Central Youth Regional Championships. In the fall of 2015, Brevick continued with OKC Riversport, moving to the Varsity Boys Coach. Notable accomplishments from his first season with the Varsity Boys include a 4th place finish at Youth Nationals in the Pair, as well as sending two athletes to the USRowing Junior National Team High Performance camp. His last season in Oklahoma City had multiple team best performances, highlighted by finishing 13th at the Head of the Charles in the Youth Eights, and 2nd at Youth Nationals in the Four.

    Brevick began rowing in 2002 at Washington State University, and began coaching at WSU as a volunteer assistant in 2007. After working in other capacities stateside and overseas for three years, he returned to WSU to coach the Novice Men for the 2011-2012 season.

  • Bjorn Elliott - Assistant Coach

    Bjorn began his rowing career at WSU as a walk on recruit in 2016. He raced in the Lightweight Men's 4 his novice year and competed in the varsity 1V 8s for the rest of his collegiate years.

    After graduating in 2020 with a double major in Business management and Finance he came back to be a volunteer coach for 2 years while working at Schweitzer Engineering Labotories full-time. He is now currently the team's first ever second fulltime coach alongside Peter where he primarily coaches WSU’s Novice rowers.

  • Hana Anderson - Volunteer Assistant Coach

    Hana began her rowing career at age 12 at a small club outside of Vancouver, Canada. There she served as team captain for 2 years before being recruited to row for the Varsity women's team here at WSU. 

    In her time on the WSU Varsity women's rowing team, she competed in the 2nd Varsity 8 all four years, and helped the team earn an NCAA bid in her freshman year. Now in her final year, while finishing off her Bachelors in kinesiology, Hana has joined Cougar Crew as a volunteer assistant coach, working with both novice and varsity

  • Kea Stieglitz - Graduate Assistant

    Kea Stieglitz holds a B.S. in Sports Administration with an academic certificate in Sport Marketing and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Sport Management. Originally from Hamburg, Germany, she began her track & field career at a small club in the southern part of the city. Stieglitz went on to attend Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, where she competed in track & field, qualifying for NAIA Nationals all four years. She earned NAIA All-American honors in the javelin throw in 2021 and 2022. Now at Washington State University, she serves as a Graduate Assistant for Cougar Crew, assisting with office operations.
